Grand Master Bermas Kim

IMG_2662Grand Master Bermas (Jong Hyuk) Kim has a distinguished martial arts career.  He has studied Hapkido for more than thirty five years under several great Grand Masters including Grand Master Myong Jae-Nam. He attained the ranking of 9th Dan (International Hapkido Federation) in 2004 and was promoted to Grand Master (Moo Moo Kwan Hapkido Association) in 2005. Grand Master Bermas Kim is the highest ranked Hapkido Master teaching in Australia.   His Hapkido title is Joon-Bom-Nim, meaning “Correct, straight teacher.”

He has instructed the Korean police, and during his military service was the instructor to both the Korean and U.S. military personnel. He has worked as a bodyguard to South Korean V.I.Ps and former Presidents. He has also judged international Hapkido competitions.

Grand Master Kim’s syllabus is the most comprehensive in Australia based on Moo Moo Kwan Hapkido (the oldest continuous Hapkido school in the world).

Grand Master Kim is supported by a number of highly qualified Masters, who are active in passing on his skills and knowledge:
