In 1979 Melbourne Hapkido Academy’s Instructor Craig Cairney (below right) began training in Taekwondo at age 15 in Wollongong, NSW. Craig started his Hapkido journey when he moved to Melbourne in 1993. He established Melbourne Hapkido Academy in 2001. He began his training with Grand Master Bermas Kim (9th Dan) in 2005 and established a permanent training centre in the same year. Craig has developed a dedicated team of highly proficient assistant instructors at Melbourne Hapkido Academy.
